If you're defending, utilise flames.
If you're attacking, utilise smoke.
The amount of games I've played where people just run to the same channels, have a gun fight, die and run back, or get a kill and just stand there waiting for the person they killed to spawn back in and run to where they died.
I get it that battlefield isn't a try hard game, but this isn't try hard, it's just utilising a very simple tactic to give your team a better chance, nothing sweaty about it. And I very, very rarely come across players that do this.
You don't have to, especially if you have a smart team mate, but if you're not having any luck and your team is getting battered, then try and take on one of these roles.
For defending, assault is phenomenal. Incendiary grenades and pistol flame thrower? You can completely block off a path for the attacking team, and even if they get through your barricade they'll be getting through with half their health and in a panic. If you've got some support behind you shooting through the flames, that pathway is off limits for them. If you're doing this, try and defend a path with an ammo supply unit nearby.
For attacking, there's two classes you can use to help your team, medic and recon.
Firstly medic, 2 smoke grenades and a smoke grenade rifle. That's 4 smokes. You can mask an entire runway for your team to push forwards. It is unbelievable the ground you can push together. If you want to make this suitable for you personally and not just for the sakes of the team, get yourself a grease gun with the silencer specialisation. If you can push through the smoke right up the enemies ass and then confuse them by shooting at them without them having signals of where you're shooting from, you can swipe up some insane multikills.
Second attacking class is recon, believe it or not. Trench carbine preferably, it's not the best but it'll do a job, just prioritise headshots. Smoke grenades x2, for the same reason as the medic class. The Doppel Schuss, it's basically a flare gun for the ground. Why this? Well it's not going to get shot out of the sky, and you can hold 4 if you find an ammo supply point. With smokes you're aiming to get up close, this will provide a close proximity spotting flare that isn't going to get shot down. And lastly the spawn becon, as you're approaching the enemy, find some cover quickly, lay one down and if you and your squad happen to die, you're right up their ass again.
If you play with friends and can amas a squad of 4, whilst attacking for example, having one playing the recon role and the rest the medic role, sure your squad might not build up the most points, but 4 people doing this? You could quite honestly secure the win for your team 9 times out of 10, just so long as they're somewhat competent.
