Maximizing Fabricate’s potential

I saw another post about the use of fabricate here and it got me thinking.

My character recently came across an item that allows him to gain proficiency with any tool set once a day.

We are about to level up and because of this item i am now heavily considering taking Fabricate.

Another member in our party is the Lord Protector of Thunder Tree (an abandoned town that we rid of monsters) and is working on rebuilding the town. We just recently met a group of settlers coming to the town to make new lives there.

Which tools should i take proficiency over along enough period of time to restore Thunder Tree to a great city? What sort of things would be the best to construct? Lots of lumber is available as we are near a forest (and a river).

Additionally, if you have any other thoughts on combining any tool proficiency + fabricate i’d love to hear them.

So far my best thoughts are just constructing new buildings stables maybe even a castle as well as a bridge over the river.

Fabricate:

You convert raw materials into products of the same material. For example, you can fabricate a wooden bridge from a clump of trees, a rope from a patch of hemp, and clothes from flax or wool.

Choose raw materials that you can see within range. You can fabricate a Large or smaller object (contained within a 10-foot cube, or eight connected 5-foot cubes), given a sufficient quantity of raw material. If you are working with metal, stone, or another mineral substance, however, the fabricated object can be no larger than Medium (contained within a single 5-foot cube). The quality of Objects made by the spell is commensurate with the quality of the raw materials.

Creatures or Magic Items can't be created or transmuted by this spell. You also can't use it to create items that ordinarily require a high degree of craftsmanship, such as jewelry, Weapons, glass, or armor, unless you have proficiency with the type of artisan's tools used to craft such Objects.
