Saw a nutty clip of a guy on labs wiping some dudes after pushing through his m67 nade. Literally every single comment was just bashing this guy for running a “meta” kit and bunny hopping. After awhile it become extremely obvious to me that these players commenting are just doing it for the sake that they’re jealous they’re not as good as the streamer who posted it. Let’s go through some of them.
“The bunny hopping across the parking lot is the reason why I completely lost interest in this game as a realistic shooter.”
So being able to get shot 6 times in the leg with .308 rounds and simply doing a 15 second surgery allows you to carry on like nothing ever happened IS realistic? Or maybe what’s “realistic” to you are features that benefit you.
“Was going to upvote until I saw the moon jumping.”
Pretty obvious here that the guy is upset because OP put thousands of hours in to master the movement mechanics in this game and is therefore better than him at it. I couldn’t believe how people were reacting to him bunny hopping like he’s the one who’s developing the game. The guy is doing absolutely nothing wrong. It’s apart of the game. You can be upset about it and want it to change but bashing a guy for using the movement mechanics to his advantage is fucking crazy. An equivalent would be thinking that the 3 point shot should be removed from basketball so you bash Steph Curry because he’s really good at shooting 3s and plays the rules to his advantage. But since YOU think the 3 point shot should be removed, Curry is being unsportsmanlike.
“Players like you are ruining the game using meta kits all the time.”
Actually Billy, it’s players like you who are control freaks and bitch about what guns other players use because you can’t afford them are what’s ruining the game. But no matter if the player thinks running a meta mpx is the most fun for HIM, he has to stoop down to your level and run your budget ak so the game is fair. Absolutely ridiculous for getting mad at a PLAYER for using a gun build in the game. It’s fair to want ask battle state to remove so called “laser” guns, but being upset with a player for using them is absurd.
There were literally hundreds of comments all saying similar stuff to the three examples I put. I love the tarkov community and think it’s a great, friendly community but this subreddit absolutely does not reflect that. People can’t watch someone else’s successes here without trying to discredit them. I’ll even see posts from new players happy about their first successful pmc raid only to be met with comments like “lol you don’t even have any loot you probably just sat in a bush the whole raid.” Grow the fuck up.
- People often talk about multiplayer ruining single player, but lets not forget about the times single player ruined multiplayer.
- My honest opinion about what needs to be fixed in the game, and how you guys can help. (long post)
- Is there honour in winning with a smurf? A rant and discussion.
