There's a question I've had for previous events as well. Something like these would breathe an exponential amount of life into the game mode that started it all, and just off the top of my head I came up with several ways to pull it off or at least attempt. The STW community (or what's left of it now) has been begging for things like this for years now. So why couldn't you add it to STW?

The Black Hole event was thought to be our light at the end of a very, very long tunnel, but alas we got to look forward to recycled content, sporadic-at-best updates, an unfinished story, a half-baked grind-a-thon with lackluster rewards in ventures, and a memo saying you're no longer pushing out new content.

If that's the case, why even have STW? Given the number of posts and how vocal the community is about it, it's clearly loved, just not by you it seems. And it's painful. But it doesn't have to be.

I'm just spitballing here but what if you just combined the game modes? Not in a PvEvP way, but one huge biome like BR? Just use the same map. Section it off in a way that requires story progress to access more of the map like every other open world game does. Start off at home base (like the very first mission in the game) and branch out from there. As you explore you can start missions by accessing special points throughout and matchmake on the fly. Fast travel points and transmatted lockers let you adjust your hero loadout without having to go back to homebase unless you need to for story purposes.

Read:  I'm glad Epic was honest. No more false promises, no more "We're working on it," no more "guys in a few updates things will be better." We got the honesty we needed and deserved, even if it's not what we wanted to hear.

Simple right? Now imagine you're out there fighting husks, when all of a sudden the sky rips open, there's a huge bang, and a crater in a small section of the map. You investigate and find Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Cue the event intro movie. Now your not only battling husks but also preparing for the arrival of Galactus, fighting off nefarious minions, and interacting with all the marvel heros and villains who've teamed up for the same purpose. A second "homebase" and social hub is unlocked with the SHIELD Carrier. You can unlock costumes and challenges same as Battle Royale, only they'd require more effort in PvE (i.e. instead of 10 player eliminations you need 250 husk/minion eliminations, similar to how Destiny does it). PvP would be the much quicker way to get it done but for those not interested there's another route.

But best of all, EVERY player from both sides of the fence can be excited at the start of a new event, a new season, a new update. It's the perfect marriage. It makes sense, and it would make people happy. No one gets left out, everyone gets to show off that new skin they just got and the two game modes can finally feel like they actually belong to the same game. You already have a mode with bots, just change the costumes on all non-player characters and voila: minions. Throw in a hearty and healthy serving of husks, sprinkle the minions around so they're frightening when we actually meet them, like Hunters in Division, tie it in to the current event at the time, and you just saved an entire game mode from cement shoes at the bottom of the Hudson.

It's a pipedream, I know and I'm sure there's a better way to execute this as well as ideas to make it better.

I mean, shit, Lord only knows if u/Magyst or anyone from Epic will even read this, but is it possible? I have hope. I like to think we haven't been written off completely but only time will tell.

Until then, weather the Storm, Commanders.
