So the kind of games that I like are games with a strong storyline/well written characters along with some fun gameplay, but emphasis on the story. For example, I really loved Persona 5 and it’s story and it had a fun cast of characters. I really like how you can interact with them outside of the main story for social links. Same with Persona 4, although I haven’t finished it yet. And I’m also having a blast with Fire Emblem. I like the way the story is divided into different parts, and the cast is all wonderful. I also like the gameplay, but it does get a bit tedious with the monastery stuff each week.
The Witcher — I’ve heard many good things about this one, but I’m kind of reluctant on it for some reason. I’ve seen a lot of people mention it with Skyrim which I also have on the switch, and while I didn’t think it was a bad game, I didn’t enjoy it as much as most people seemed to. I’ve also heard that it has a lot of gore/nudity, but is it an absurd amount? I’m fine with a lot of gore as long as it’s not super realistic, but I’m not really comfortable with a lot of nudity. If it’s just some then I’m fine with it though.
Dragon Quest — I’ve started on the demo for this one and I’m having a lot of fun though I haven’t gotten super far into it. I really like JRPGs and I find the art style to be super cute and the environments are really pretty. How would you say the story gets later in the game, and what about the characters?
Octopath Traveler — I’ve also played some of the demo and I’ve enjoyed what I played so far. I really like the art in it. What originally lured me to it was that there’s 8 different characters and you follow each of them in the story. Although I’ve also heard that they hardly have interactions with each other despite being together, which I find mildly disappointing but I like the idea of it enough to stick with it. But the receptions of this game seem to be pretty mixed—a lot of people love it, but a lot of people seem to hate it too.
If you have other games that you can recommend to me based on my preferences then that’ll be fine too.

- Should I buy a PS4 before or after the PS5 releases? (interested in Persona 5)
- Favourite games I played this year, and the most disappointing game.
