Today I'll be reviewing the second half of the Smash 4 newcomers which is Palutena, Pac-Man, Robin, Shulk, Bowser Jr, The Koopalings, Duck Hunt Duo, Ryu, Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta.

54. Palutena (1986)

Lady Palutena here is the Goddess of Light who first debuted in the game Kid Icarus in 1986. She also gives Pit powers due to how he is the captain of her army. At one point she and Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness, used to rule Angel Land together. However Palutena punishes Medusa by turning her into a monster and sending her to the Underworld due to how Medusa has a hatred of humans. But Medusa gets revenge on Palutena by teaming up with the Underworld Army to attack Skyworld. Due to this, she calls on Pit to prevent her from doing so.

Overall 8.5/10. She’s a very nice young goddess.

55.Pac-Man (1980)

Pac-Man is a Pac-Person who debuted in the game Pac-Man in 1980. In the game, he goes through a maze and collects pellets while avoiding four ghosts named Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde.

Overall 7.8/10. He's a pretty decent character.

56.Robin (2012)

Robin is a magician who first appeared in the game Fire Emblem: Awakening in 2012. They're the main default character for the player’s avatar in that game as well.

Overall 8.8/10. They’re very talented magicians.

57.Shulk (2010)

Shulk is the main protagonist in the game Xenoblade Chronicles which came out back in 2010. He’s an 18-year old scientist from a settlement called Colony 9. As a kid he was the only survivor of an expedition who discovered the Monado, which is the only weapon that can defeat Mechon, the main antagonists of the game.

Overall 9.2/10. This character is very excellent and has psychic powers as well.

58.Bowser Jr. (2002)

Bowser Jr. is Bowser's son who first appeared in the game Super Mario Sunshine back in 2002. He helps Bowser kidnap Peach and try to defeat Mario. He also thinks that Peach is his mother and has the ability to paint himself as a fake image of Mario called Shadow Mario.

Overall 7.5/10. He is very mischievous.

Fun Fact: His appearance is very similar to Baby Bowser's. His mother is also unknown as well (and no, it's not Peach).

58A.Koopalings (1988)

The Koopalings (from left to right: Lemmy, Wendy, Morton, Larry, Iggy, Ludwig, and Roy) are Bowser's minions who first debuted in the game Super Mario Bros 3 in 1988. In the games, they each guard a castle that Mario has to go through at the end of each world and he has to defeat them in order to proceed to the next world.

Overall 8/10. I think they're very cool.

Fun Facts: It's still unsure if the Koopalings are actually Bowser's children or not. They also had different names in the cartoon as well. Lemmy and Iggy were twins and were known as Hip and Hop, Wendy was known as Kootie Pie, Morton was known as Big Mouth, Larry was known as Cheatsy, Ludwig was known as Kooky, and Roy was known as Bully. Their modern names are based off of famous musicians meanwhile their cartoon names were based off of their personalities.

59.Duck Hunt Duo (1984)

The Duck Hunt Duo debuted in the game Duck Hunt in 1984. In the game, you would shoot ducks that would fly in the air, and whenever they were shot and returned back to the ground, the dog would pick them up. However, if the ducks fly away. The dog will laugh.

Overall 9/10. I like this character however I do feel bad for the ducks.

60.Ryu (1987)

Ryu is the main character in the Street Fighter series which came out back in 1987. In the games, he is a martial artist who goes on a bunch of challenges against other martial artists. He’s also been best friends and good rivals with Ken ever since childhood.

Overall 8.3/10. He’s a very strong guy.

61.Cloud (1997)

Cloud Strife is the main protagonist of the game Final Fantasy VII which came out in 1997. He's from a small mountainside town called Nibelheim. His dad died when he was young and he was also treated like an outcast growing up compared to the other children in his hometown. Aside from his childhood crush, Tifa Lockhart, he considered the other children inferior due to how much of an outcast he was. He claims to be a former member of a group called SOLDIER, which he wasn’t because he wasn’t unable to join sadly but later got hired by a group called Avalanche as a mercenary to them against the Shinra Electric Power Company. He later rediscovers his past and decides to help defend his friends and his home planet called Gaia.

Overall 9.4/10. I really like this character and I often main him in Smash Bros.

62.Corrin (2015)

Corrin is the main protagonist and avatar in the game Fire Emblem Fates which came out back in 2015. They come from a family that carries the blood of dragons which gives them the ability to turn themselves into dragons.

Overall 9/10. They’re powerful human dragons with water.

63.Bayonetta (2009)

Bayonetta is an Umber Witch who first appeared in the game Bayonetta in 2009. She has the ability to summon infernal demons due to how they lose their souls when they die. She’s bound with a demon called Madama Butterfly and she uses her limbs for attacks. She also can summon other demons by using her hair.

Overall 9.3/10. She’s such an awesome character.

Fun Fact: Her actual name is Cereza.
