changing the NPCs that spawn in World Events – getting a spawn issue

I want World Event NPCs to spawn as Wolves. So when a world event triggers, instead of, say, 2 bandits fighting a spriggan or whatever, all 3 of them spawn as wolves… This will enable me to simulate my sought-after wolf pack encounters, if it works right.

I edited just 1 field, changed (for example) the EncBandit entry to EncWolf

Apparently as a result of this, in-game the NPCs spawn as invisible-body blackfaced Male Nords, named "Wolf" when a world event is triggered.

Conversely, Vanilla predator-spawning wolves spawn normally. The 3 wolves you face after escaping Helgen also spawn normally.

Are there additional fields in there I need to edit as well, perhaps? I don't see anything obvious.

I use a wolf-replacer mesh, and its not conflicting with anything on the left panel of MO2. I don't have any other wolf-editing mods.
