I Know There Are Quite A Few Mod Author Appreciation Posts Already But This Really Hit It Out Of The Park For me

So for context my current play through has been on a mod list where I intentionally tried to make the game very difficult and attempted to get it as close to feeling like a souls like as I could with combat and camera. As a result I've found my self relying on followers for certain areas which I struggle to complete alone, I'm around level 64 now so the common bandits are much less of a challenge then they used to be however in the past it was very nice to have the assistance.

Anyway, I have installed 3 companion mods "4 if you count the Serena Dialogue Edit", That being Hoth, Inigo, and Lucien I had not put a ton of thought into my choices other than knowing they all had pretty high ratings and I had heard good things about them. I thought Hoth would make a nice tank well Inigo and Lucien would be good DPS as I am already a melee damage build.

Fast forward a couple hours after I got my party together I was exploring an old Nordic ruin, I don't remember which off the top of my head but I believe it was the one for the Bards College, and I heard Hoth and Lucien exchange a couple lines of dialogue I don't remember exactly what but it was the usual Lucien being inquisitive and Hoth making a vague yet brutal threat. The same happened a bit later between Lucien and Inigo as they talked about something involving the ruin, I'm not sure if this is a once of though because I don't think I've heard them talk outside of that although that might just be a problem on my end.

On paper these are such small things but its hard to articulate just how much it adds to my experience. Even a sentence as small as Lucien saying "Inigo has started sniffing me" is so jaw dropping to me. It makes the feeling that this world exists without you so much more believable and just makes everything feel like its working in tandem. Once again I understand how hard it to explain how something as simple as radiant dialogue could so drastically improve my play through but I really believe it does.

So thank you Smartbluecat, JosephRussel, and hothtrooper44. As well as all modders for continuing to amaze me almost 10 years later.
