Control Point Retaliation Mode – Resistance Done Right with God Rolled Rewards

Control Points Retaliation Mode: New Global directive "Controlled Retaliation".

When enabled all CP's (Control Points) behavior is changed. CP must be captured and defended without the assistance of any friendlies. After capturing the CP enemy attempts to re-capture the CP will occur in never ending waves that increase in difficulty with each wave.

After defeating 10 waves the supply room is unlocked and player can claim the contents of the large chest at any point after however the more waves defeated before opening the chest the better the RNG, the better the gear.

Named enemies also have a chance of dropping items and the quality of those items increases with the number of waves completed.

This method for rewards in Retaliation encourages agent(s) to keep pushing thru as many waves as they can handle. The activity ends when either all agents are killed or the event is **cancelled via a cancellation switch inside the supply room.

Weekly Retaliation Weapon Item Project: When activated this project will award a single weapon with max stats (god rolled) upon the successful completion of 10 retaliation waves at any Control Point. Can not be activated while the Weekly Retaliation Gear Item Project is active.

Weekly Retaliation Gear Item Project: When activated this project will award a single gear with max stats (god rolled) upon the successful completion of 10 retaliation waves at any Control Point. Can not be activated while the Weekly Retaliation Weapon Item Project is active.

The goal with Retaliation mode is to turn all 37 control points into mini Resistance game modes that reward players in 2 ways each of which lead to better rewards the more waves agents can complete. The more you do the better your rewarded.

The 2 Weekly projects ensure that all players with some time and effort can get at least 1 god rolled gear piece and 1 god rolled weapon. There are enough weapons and gear in the game to ensure that even if every player is completing these projects every week it will still take years to get a god rolled copy of everything.

Additionally, for those hard-core players who are willing to push thru higher Retaliation waves the chances of getting god rolled or near god rolled items is greatly expanded via the 37 control points between the map in DC and the WONY expansion.

** Cancellation Option: The cancellation option is there to allow agents the ability to end retaliation without having to die. Its possible that the area could be covered in dropped gear from named enemies and agents may want the option to end the activity and collect those items without have to be killed and fast travel back to the CP and risk that something that was has disappeared.

Retaliation Mode is a more flushed out idea I've shared with the developers and here on the forums on how to re-purposes Control Points to facilitate a proper Resistance like game mode that also allows for god-rolled items as rewards and in a way that the devs can't say that players would get everything too quickly but still allow even the avg player a chance at a god rolled gear item and weapon every week with just a little time/effort. If you take the time to read and respond I do appreciate it even if its to say you think its a bad idea.
