World of Warships

Attilio Regolo, San Giorgio and Guichen ship suggestions.

The Capitani Romani class light cruisers are long overdue in World of Warships, and I definetly think they should be added as tier IX or X destroyers. (We have the Paolo Emilio, similar to, but not quite a member of the class). What is also interesting, is what happened to the class after the war. Two of the ships were ceded to France and heavily modified, and the other two were significantly modernized and reentered Italian service. In World of Warships, all three variants of the class could be added. This is my interpretation of how they could be added:

Italian destroyer Attilio Regolo, Tier X

Survivability – 27800. Plating 19 mm

Main Battery – 4×2 135-mm. Main Battery Firing Range – 12.8 km

Maximum HE Shell Damage – 1950. HE Shell Armor Penetration Capacity – 23-mm. Chances of HE Shell causing a Fire on Target – 9%. Initial HE Shell Velocity – 875 m/s . Maximum SAP Shell Damage – 3050. SAP Shell Armor Penetration Capacity – 38-mm. Initial SAP Shell Velocity – 875 m/s. Reload Time – 7.5 s. 180 Turn time – 18 s. Maximum Dispersion – 111 m. Sigma – 2.00.

Torpedoes – 2×4 533-mm. Maximum Damage – 13900. Torpedo Range – 13.5 km. Torpedo speed – 56 knots. Reload time – 95 s. 180 Turn Time – 7.2 s. Torpedo Detectability Range by Sea – 1.2 km.

AA Defence: 8×1 37 mm, 4×2 20-mm

Short-Range AA:

Medium-Range AA:

Long-Range AA:

Im not sure how AA is calculated, but Imagine Paolo Emilio but worse.

Maximum speed – 43 knots. Turning Circle Radius – 820 m. Rudder Shift Time – 6.1 s.

Detectability Range by Sea – 9.3 km. Detectability Range by Air – 3.9 km. Detectability After Firing Main Guns in Smoke – 3.8 km.

Avialable Equipment –

1 Slot – Damage Control Party (Reload Time – 40 s. Consumable Action Time – 5 s)

2 Slot – Exhaust Smoke Generator (Number of Charges – 4. Consumable Action Time – 40 s. Reload Time – 140 s. Smoke Screen Radius – 510 m)

Slot 3 – Engine Boost (Number of Charges – 4. Consumable Action Time – 120 s. Reload Time – 140 s. Maximum Speed +8%)

This is the original Capitani Romani- class, and I tried my best to make it as Italian as possible. It has got the classic Italian SAP shells, Exhaust Smoke, shitty AA, aswell as Italian torps found on the cruisers. I tried to make it different from Paolo Emilio, as the Paolo is supposed to be the ultimate YOLO ship, And I think it should stay that way. This is what I imagine will sit at the top of the Italian destroyer line.

Italian Destroyer San Giorno ´55 , Tier X

Survivability – 29000. Plating 19 mm

Main Battery – 3×2 127-mm. Main Battery Firing Range – 11.9 km

Maximum HE Shell Damage – 1800. HE Shell Armor Penetration Capacity – 21-mm. Chances of HE Shell causing a Fire on Target – 5%. Initial HE Shell Velocity – 792 m/s . Maximum SAP Shell Damage – 2700. SAP Shell Armor Penetration Capacity – 36-mm. Initial SAP Shell Velocity – 792 m/s. Reload Time – 4 s. 180 Turn time – 7.2 s. Maximum Dispersion – 105 m. Sigma – 2.00.

AA Defence: 3×2 127-mm, 4×4 40-mm, 2×2 40-mm

Short-Range AA:

Medium-Range AA: I don´t know really, but atleast very good.

Long-Range AA: Continuous Damage – 63, Firing Range – 5.8 km

Im not sure how AA is calculated, but this ship should have decent AA.

Maximum speed – 39 knots. Turning Circle Radius – 760 m. Rudder Shift Time – 5.1 s.

Detectability Range by Sea – 9.6 km. Detectability Range by Air – 4.0 km. Detectability After Firing Main Guns in Smoke – 2.8 km.

Avialable Equipment –

1 Slot – Damage Control Party (Reload Time – 40 s. Consumable Action Time – 5 s)

2 Slot – Smoke Generator (Number of Charges – 2. Consumable Action Time – 30 s. Reload Time – 160 s. Smoke Screen Radius – 450 m. Smoke Screen Dispersion Time – 130 s)

3 Slot – Engine Boost (Number of Charges – 3. Consumable Action Time – 120 s. Reload Time – 120 s. Maximum Speed +8%)

3 Slot – Defensive AA Fire (Number of Charges – 4. Consumable Action Time – 40 s. Reload Time – 80 s. Continuous Damage +100%. Damage from AA Shell Explosions +300%)

This is one of the ships that were modernized after the war. It has new shiny American 127-mm guns, aswell as numerous Bofors 40-mm guns. Compared to the Attilio Regolo, it is slower, chonkier, and carries American consumables (similar to Leone). The reinforced AA might also be handy, although this has come at expense of the torpedo tubes.

French Destroyer Guichen ´55 , Tier IX

Main Battery – 3×2 105-mm. Main Battery Firing Range – 11.6 km

Initial AP Shell Velocity – 780 m/s. Reload Time – 4 s. 180 Turn time – 17.14 s. Maximum Dispersion – 102 m. Sigma – 2.00.

Torpedoes – 4×3 550-mm. Maximum Damage – 12233. Torpedo Range – 6 km. Torpedo speed – 60 knots. Reload time – 84 s. 180 Turn Time – 7.2 s. Torpedo Detectability Range by Sea – 1.2 km.

AA Defence: 3×2 105-mm, 5×2 57-mm

Medium-Range AA: Continuous Damage – 241, Hit Probability – 100%, Firing Range – 3.8 km;

Long-Range AA: Continuous Damage – 77, Hit Probability – 100%, Firing Range – 5.2 km;

Action zone of AA Shell Explosions – 3.5 – 5.2 km, Number of Shell Explosions in AA Salvos – 3, Damage from AA Shell Explosions – 1470.

Detectability Range by Sea – 9.5 km. Detectability Range by Air – 3.9 km. Detectability After Firing Main Guns in Smoke – 2.1 km.

Avialable Equipment –

1 Slot – Damage Control Party (Reload Time – 40 s. Consumable Action Time – 5 s)

2 Slot – Engine Boost (Number of Charges – 3. Consumable Action Time – 180 s. Reload Time – 90 s. Maximum Speed +15%)

3 Slot – Main Battery Reload Booster (Number of Charges – 4. Consumable Action Time – 15 s. Reload Time – 120 s. Main Battery Reload Speed -50%)

One of the ships ceded to France after WWII. Armament-wise, it carries less powerful, more rapid-firing german 105s with improved HE pen, which can be improved to 32 mm with IFHE. The Torpedoes, are also quite weak (They are basically Duguay-Trouin torps). The cherry on top is of course the reload booster, the same as the one as carried on Sirocco. The improved engine boost would also be quite handy I assume.

What all ships have in common

-Long, chonky, with incredible HP-pools and decent armor for a destroyer

-Decently fast, but mediocre turning capabilities

-Dreadful concealment, similar to high tier french and soviet dds.

The Attilio Regolo is basically Italian-ified, while the San Giorno is American-ified, and the Guichen is French-ified.

This is my suggestion on how these ships could be added to the game, what are your thoughts?
